Summer Camp Pinellas County – As summer moved along Strykerz KidFit Camp, the camp focused on the art of Hapkido and they prepare for the first summer field trip. The field trip will take the kids to the Blue Jays Baseball game in Dunedin Florida.
Throughout the week kids learned about various different baseball players during group time. We talked about Lou Gehrig, Babe Ruth, and Mickey Mantle, as well as the history of Baseball. By the end of the week kids could tell their instructors about the rules of Baseball and when the fist stadium was built.
Summer Camp Pinellas County – Martial Arts Activity
Kids also had fun painting and making their own baseballs and creating their own baseball players. Tuesday kids got to put all their baseball knowledge to the test while attending a baseball game in Dunedin. The Dunedin Blue Jays played against the Flying Tigers. We had a great time watching the game and joining in on the many games they had planned for the kids.
Our summer camp kids were able to play a game consisting of them racing to see who could put their shoes on the fastest, and got to take pictures with DJ the Dunedin Blue Jay’s mascot.
With the weather improving children also were able to enjoy time at their favorite place Largo park. At the Largo Park they enjoy some time in the sun and fun. Their martial arts training consisted of Hapkido and focused on the basics stances, forms, and minor self defense. Working with Instructor Soudabah and Alex, kids learn various basic self defense moves and techniques. This techniques will help them in many situations.
At the camp the new students were getting help by our returning members in learning some of the basics needed. Children from teams of 2 and taught their new friends their favorite Hapkido techniques and philosophy. With the second week of camp under wraps both instructors and children prepared for the following week.
